Fruit from M&B/Howard Park’s Great Southern vineyards. A blend of Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Grenache. Winemaking same as 2025, with some some parts into stainless steel (cold ferments) and held on lees with daily stirring, others into old oak. Partial malolactic ferment during maturation.
Marchand & Burch, Village, Rosé, Mount Barker, 2026
Very pale salmon hue. Peach tea, hibiscus water, peaches ‘n cream lollies, strawberry top green-ness, sherbet, watermelon (towards the rind), pink grapefruit and blood orange. Attractive creamy peach and citrus tones, allowing for generosity and appeal. Some neat textural elements from the winemaking elements. Finish of bittersweet citrus and summer berries.
