Blue Pyrenees have include parcels of fruit from the nearby cool climate region of Macedon for this Cuvee. Traditional Method of usual suspects: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and of Meunier. Note, bottle images gold medals are for a previous vintage and the winery has just rolled to the 2020 vintage.
Blue Pyrenees Estate, Brut, Pyrenees, Macedon, 2019
Pale lemon with fine beading and easy lacing. Rich and comforting nose with cherry Danish, panettone yeasty spiced aromas. Some smoked meat and shaved truffle richness with lemon sherbet citrus. Broad and a little coarse across the palate before moving to a rounded, easy yet balanced aperitif style with fine acidity. Well judged dark autolytic characters enlivened with fresh tart citrus.
