Crittenden, Peninsula, Pinot Noir, Mornington Peninsula, 2020
Mornington sometimes gets the “too warm” tag, but here we see hyper varietal crunchy cherry, worked strawberry, woody spice, soft meaty salty charcuterie, eastern bazaar smoke and easy toast. Sitting on the right side of medium bodied, with sharp acidity tempered by assertive, yet dark toned red (cherry and strawberry) fruit. Tacky drying tannin with a touch of wax, but nothing derides from some fine boned, dark Pinot enjoyment.
